New partner university from USA

The delegation led by Dr. David Finegold, president of Chatham University, and Dr. Li Song, president of EduChina Group, paid a visit to Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) on March 22. President of SZTU Prof. Ruan Shuangchen extended a warm welcome to Dr. Finegold, and said that SZTU attaches great importance to cultural exchanges and academic cooperation with American universities.

At the meeting, Prof. Ruan made a detailed introduction about the current development of SZTU. He pointed out that since its establishment, SZTU has consistently been committed to exploiting the collaboration with first-class American institutions and universities, including a close cooperation on student exchanges and curriculum design.

 

Chartered in 1869, Chatham University is a fully coed institution with 3 sustainable campuses located in Pittsburgh and an enrollment of over 2,200 students, 5.7% of whom are international students from 27 foreign countries, Dr. Finegold said at the meeting. He also conducted in-depth discussions on joint cultivation for students with representatives of SZTU, and expressed willingness to promote the construction of comprehensive partnership between Chatham University and SZTU. Witnessed by representatives of two universities, Prof. Ruan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Dr. Finegold, which means that Chatham University and SZTU become partner universities and will collaborate at a high level.

Accompanied by Vice President of SZTU Prof. Xu Gang, Dean of College of New Materials and New Energies Prof. Han Peigang, and Dean of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics Prof. Franz Raps, Dr. Finegold visited Laboratory for Crystal Growth and Characterization, Vehicle Engineering Practical Teaching Center, and Key Laboratory for Clean Vehicle Power Control and Vehicle Reliability.
