Delegation of Siemens Ltd., China visits SZTU

A delegation led by Mr. Shang Huijie, the senior vice president of Siemens Ltd., China paid a visit to Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) on June 13th, 2019. Mr. Shang Huijie along with Ms. He Wei, Senior Government Affairs Director of Siemens Ltd., China, and Mr. Hu Xiang, Sales Director GD E/HN Territory, were welcomed by and had a meeting with the representatives of SZTU, including Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, the president of SZTU, Prof. Xu Gang, the vice president of SZTU, Prof. Franz Raps, the dean of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, Prof. Wang Hongzhi, the deputy dean of Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing, and Associate Prof. Zeng Siyu, the head of International Cooperation and Student Affairs Office.

Prof. Ruan presented a brief introduction to the cooperation between SZTU and German universities of applied sciences, and expressed strong willingness to collaborate with well-known German enterprises.

Mr. Shang said that he was surprised by the achievements of SZTU made in the past three years, especially the fruitful results of international cooperation. He looked forward to starting the cooperation with SZTU from the project Industry 4.0 Smart Factory Project.

Siemens Ltd., China and SZTU reached an intention of cooperation and will sign a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Munich, Germany on June 19. Both sides will deepen cooperation in the field of joint establishment of intelligent manufacturing practice and training base, scientific research, international exchanges, joint curriculum, Co-cultivation of teachers, qualification certification of engineering capability, school operations, innovative competition etc.

 

After the meeting, Prof. Xu Gang and Prof. Wang Hongzhi accompanied the Siemens delegation to visit the Sino-German Brewing Process Control Laboratory and the Industry 4.0 Smart Factory Project.

Located in Shijing, Pingshan District, Industry 4.0 Smart Factory (Crystal USB Flash Disk Intelligent Training Production Line) is a key experimental training construction project of Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing, which was jointly built by Siemens Ltd., China and SZTU. The engineers are now busy testing the equipment of production line, which will be completed in July this year.
