SZTU, WIK become strategic partners

Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) and Shenzhen WIK Domestic Appliances Co. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as WIK) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on April 12. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Christian Wurzer, WIK head of quality (global); Huang Yunpei, WIK head of human resources; middle-level managers of WIK; Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU; and heads of relevant departments of SZTU.

At the signing ceremony, Prof. Ruan Shuangchen introduced SZTU’s development process, faculty members, talent training model and enrollment size in detail. He noted that SZTU has heavily drawn on and introduced the advanced school-running experience of first-class universities of applied sciences in developed countries such as Germany and Switzerland. Insisting on a high standard, SZTU is committed to developing into a benchmark of such kind of university in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and even in China. He hoped that both sides can play a part in promoting student internships and practical training, advancing the technological development of the enterprise and cultivating technical talents in the future.

Huang Yunpei spoke highly of the rapid development of SZTU. He briefly introduced WIK and hoped that the two parties can work closely and carry out in-depth cooperation. WIK will fully support SZTU’s students in internship and practical training. Win-win results are also expected in personnel training and technological research and development.

Representatives of SZTU and WIK signed a strategic framework agreement. Based on the agreement, WIK and SZTU will cooperate in multiple areas including internship and practical training bases and corporate HR training bases, scientific research and technology, graduate employment, specialties and curriculums setup and teacher training. It is hoped that the collaboration is driven by the needs of the industry, market and enterprises.

After the signing ceremony, Christian Wurzer and Huang Yunpei were appointed Guest Professor and Enterprise Mentor in Career Planning and Employment Guidance respectively by SZTU. They will give professional courses to the students from time to time.
