On March 2, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) signed a cooperation agreement with SF Express, one of China’s leading express logistics service providers, to collaboratively build Fengxue Industrial College of Modern Logistics and Supply Chain. The signing ceremony was joined by Wu Guangzhao, general manager of SF Express; Wang Jixing, chief HR officer of SF Express; Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU; and Prof. Franz Raps, dean of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics.

Prof. Ruan Shuangchen said that SZTU has developed in-depth cooperation with SF Express on research, education and the construction of training bases. He hoped that more university-enterprise platforms can be built to expand off-campus internship and employment, boost the cultivation of talents and achieve mutual development.

Prof. Franz Raps stated that the cooperation can enhance the exchange of information for both sides and students and train more application-oriented talents. He expressed great expectations for future cooperation between SZTU and SF Express.

Wu Guangzhao said that SZTU is a partner he always cares about. He hoped that the cooperation can promote technological innovation, better integrate the industry with the university and train more students that are needed by the logistics industry.

Christopher Stoller, head of the Transport and Logistics Programme at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, attended the signing ceremony online. He noted that the in-depth cooperation between SZTU and SF Express is a meaningful step for the industry of logistics and supply chain, which has great potential and broad prospect.
According to the agreement, SZTU and SF Express will train versatile talented people for the logistics industry under a new training mechanism. Different customized classes will be set up to cultivate students needed by the industry. Better resources and job opportunities will be given to graduates from the industry college. Students can also take part in projects focusing on industrial needs or real-life problems under the guidance of supervisors from both sides.
