From September 10 to 15, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) is resuming its grand activity, the International Week, after three years of the pandemic. SZTUers will enjoy various academic and cultural events in the upcoming week. Over 50 professors and scholars from countries such as Germany and Switzerland, as well as over 20 international students, gather together at SZTU.

When the guests arrived at SZTU on September 10, they had a campus tour joined by Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU. They visited various colleges, library, Western Canteen, 1034 Installation, etc. Prof. Ruan warmly welcomed teachers and students coming from afar and extended heartfelt thanks to the international partners for their support and help along the way. The guests were impressed by the campus facilities and the fast development of SZTU.

From September 11 to 14, 116 courses will be provided to students, taught by 45 international professors, including the president of Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) and the president of Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), as well as 29 SZTU professors. Among these courses, 72 of them are professional courses tailored for students from different majors and 44 of them are seminars covering various disciplines for all freshmen. 6,761 SZTU students will take part in international courses this year, which is a record high. The visit of foreign professors and scholars can bring the latest developments and research trends of global science and technology, promote faculty exchanges among various institutions, enhance mutual trust and understanding, and pave the way for scientific and technological cooperation and academic research in the future.

During this week, we will also hold the Bavarian Cultural Night on Wednesday, an event that showcases the rich culture and traditions of Bavaria. During the night, attendees can expect to experience authentic Bavarian music, dancing, food, traditional costumes and performances.

The International Forum is a core part of International Week, where professors and scholars can exchange and discuss new ideas and thoughts. Under the theme of “Strategic Development for High-Quality University Education”, the International Forum will invite seven guests to deliver keynote speeches on Friday.
On the final day of the week, SZTU will also host the 2023 Inauguration Ceremony and the Freshmen Welcome Show. All international teachers and students will also be invited.
