Edited by:Release Time:2024/10/23

Recently, Stanford University together with Elsevier has released the list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024. A total of 15 scholars from Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) are selected into the list, covering five scientific fields and 14 sub-fields. Among them, 12 scholars are ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists for single-year (2024) citation impact, and 10 are recognized in the list for career-long citation impact.

The list has selected the top 2% scientists from nearly 7,000,000 scientists worldwide in 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields this year. The selection is based on Scopus, Elsevier’s citation database which provides comprehensive information on six indexes such as citations, h-index, and co-authorship-adjusted hm-index. Besides, it incorporates the paper retraction data based on Retraction Watch database, in order to truly reflect the long-term scientific impact of scholars in a more objective way. The 15 scientists from SZTU are listed as follows. The full list can be found at: https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/7.
