Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) and the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) have officially established a partnership through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by SZTU Vice President Ming Zhong and MIIS Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean Jeff Dayton-Johnson. The agreement aims to promote exchange programs, joint student training, and faculty-student exchanges, further advancing global education and cross-cultural academic cooperation.

Founded in 1955 and located in Monterey, California, MIIS is a globally renowned graduate school specializing in international policy, language education, and translation studies. MIIS has two graduate professional schools known as the Graduate School of Translation, Interpretation, and Language Education and the Graduate School of International Policy and Management, along with several related centers.
