2019 SZTU Student Enrollment Plan comes out

Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) held a conference on student recruitment on March 28, at which Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, President of SZTU, introduced 2019 SZTU Student Enrollment Plan. Hosted by Prof. Zhang Yanhong, Vice President of SZTU, the conference was joined by Deans of SZTU, Heads of different departments, teachers, students, parent representatives and more than 20 famous news media including Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television, China Education Daily, Nanfang Daily and Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.

Prof. Ruan released the details of SZTU Student Enrollment Plan, which shows that SZTU is set to recruit 800 students with 6 majors and 11 training directions, covering 8 colleges, that is Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing, College of Big Data and Internet, College of New Materials and New Energies, College of Health Science and Environmental Engineering, College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, College of Creative Design, College of Business Management and College of Engineering Physics.

Although SZTU is mainly geared to the needs of students in Guangdong province, this year, it opens itself to students from other provinces. Based on the resources of Shenzhen University, SZTU recruited 226 full-time undergraduate students in 2017 and 807 in 2018.

So far, SZTU has signed cooperation agreements with more than 40 international universities and institutions. With German as a compulsory course, SZTU students can have access to exchange programs or internship at partner universities in Germany. The first overseas office in Regensburg provides SZTU with a great opportunity to develop its international internship programs. Of all the full-time teachers, 60% have overseas study or work experiences, and 40% have been engaged in teaching or research in world-class universities, such as Prof. Holger Hadenwang, Former Vice President of OTH Regensburg, and Prof. Franz Raps, Former Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.
