SZTU students achieve excellent results at Chinese Mathematics Competitions

On January 2, 2020, the award ceremony of the 11th Chinese Mathematics Competitions (CMC) was held at Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU). Prof. Liu Hongwei, director of Teaching Affairs Office, and Prof. Xiang Shaohua, dean of College of Big Data and Internet, attended the ceremony and presented awards to the prize winners.

On October 26, 2019, ten students from SZTU participated in the Guangdong-division competition at South China University of Technology for the first time. With the concerted efforts of the teachers and students, a sophomore Yan Zhenqi won the second prize, and the other five sophomores Chen Jiabin, Zhong Zhengjun, Huang Huiquan, Yan Zhuozhuan and Lin Zetian won the third prizes.

CMC is sponsored by China Mathematical Society and co-organized by universities and colleges around the country, which is a high-level math competition in China. It aims to stimulate students’ interest in learning mathematics, discover and select innovative talents in mathematics, and push forward the reform and development of mathematics discipline.
