Serving the strategic emerging sectors of China, such as electronic information, computer technology, network security technology and application, the College of Big Data and Internet is set to offer courses in Internet of Things Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Electronic and Information Engineering and Microelectronic Engineering in the initial stage. Currently, it provides bachelor’s degree in Internet of Things Engineering, Data Science and Big Data Technology, and Computer Science and Technology, as well as master’s degree in Computer Technology. The courses aim to train high-quality applied talents in information and network technology with comprehensive abilities to innovate and practice in the fields of data analysis, data mining, artificial intelligence, cyber security, and design and application of internet of things (IoT). In order to help its students adapt to global competition and fit the needs of emerging hi-tech industries in China, the College learns the training plans from experienced German universities of applied sciences such as University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) and OTH Regensburg and establishes Sino-German innovation laboratories jointly with them. In the curriculum, it emphasizes the research and development of IoT application system and electronic information products based on computer technology and information network. It also focuses on combining basic knowledge with frontier data technology as well as methodology with practical skills.
