The Quality and Standards Academy was jointly established by the People’s Government of Pingshan District, Shenzhen Administration for Market Regulation, and Shenzhen Technology University. Adhering to the market demand-oriented approach, the Academy gathers high-quality educational resources, continuously enriches and updates the teaching materials, so as to cultivate the specialized talents mastering “X+ Quality and Standards” and keeping pace with the global trends.

The Academy has a faculty composed of authoritative experts, industry-leading elites, senior engineers, and excellent entrepreneurs in the field of quality and standardization. At the same time, with the ultimate goal of cultivating compound talents with quality awareness, standardized thinking and professional technical ability, the Academy actively cooperates with international organizations, such as the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), to build collaborative cultivation platforms, carry out featured teaching like “IEC International Program”, and provide supports for students' international exchanges and further studies.

The Academy has offered an undergraduate program—Automation (International Standardization of Control Systems). In the next 5 years, based on the demand for employment, the Academy will deeply explore the teaching mode of embedding quality and standards in professions, further improve graduates’ competitiveness in employment and gradually set up new majors like standardization engineering, so as to cultivate senior engineers who meet the needs of construction of national modern society and acquire standardization knowledge and application capabilities in related fields. They will be engaged in the standards development, R&D, organization management, strategic decision-making and other work in their fields.
