The opening ceremony of College of Quality and Standards of Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) was held at SZTU’s launching campus on March 7. Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen Municipality Huang Min, Director-general of Market Supervision Administration of Shenzhen Municipality Kuang Bing, Secretary of Pingshan District Committee of the CPC Tao Yongxin, District Mayor of Pingshan District Li Yong, President of SZTU Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, Vice President of SZTU Prof. Zhang Yanhong, and other leaders together attended the ceremony.

The College of Quality and Standards is jointly built by Market Supervision Administration of Shenzhen Municipality, Shenzhen Pingshan District Government, and Shenzhen Technology University. In the future, it will attract first-class resources from abroad and within China in the fields of quality and standards, and promote the integration of quality management and standardization courses into undergraduate education. In addition, the college will focus on building National International Standardization Talents Cultivation Base, and producing locally-educated talents in the quality management and standardization areas.

Witnessed by leaders, SZTU faculty and student representatives attending the event, the tripartite framework cooperation agreement for the establishment of the College of Quality and Standards of SZTU was signed. Market Supervision Administration of Shenzhen Municipality, Shenzhen Pingshan District Government, and SZTU jointly unveiled the college and looked forward to creating its bright future together.
