In order to strengthen practical cooperation between European countries and Guangdong, and further deepen economic reforms and openness, the People’s Government of Guangdong Province partnered with the EU Chamber of Commerce in China and ANK Greater China to host the 2018 China (Guangdong) - Europe Investment Cooperation Conference & German Enterprises Invest in Guangdong Promotion Event from November 6th to 7th, 2018 at the Wuzhou Guest House, Shenzhen.

The conference aims to provide a platform for entrepreneurs and government officials from both Europe and Guangdong to build new partnerships. It promoted the latest economic and social development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and facilitated discussions on opportunities for business collaboration between Europe and Guangdong Province. It focused on the connection between Made in China 2025 and EuropeanIndustry 4.0, and consisted of a series of activities including the opening ceremony, seminars and B2B communication.

As representatives of Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU), Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, Director of SZTU, together with Prof. Lyu Qitao, Dean of Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing, and Prof. Chen Zhichao, Distinguished Professor of SZTU, attended the conference. They discussed with representatives from Forture 500 enterprises and the Delegations of German Industry and Commerce, and executives from well-known local companies. SZTU looked forward to building partnerships with these corporations in the future.
