On July 15, 2018, 26 students of Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) who were led by three teachers from SZTU International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office and Faculty of Arts & Sciences, arrived in Munich. They will visit the Munich University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) for a two-week summer program under the theme of “Industry 4.0”.

As they arrived, Prof. Dr. Mathias Gabrysch and Prof. Dr. Martin Renner of MUAS greeted them with a warm welcome. The vice president of MUAS, Prof. Dr. Klaus Kreulich attended the project introduction and delivered a welcome speech. In the next two weeks, seven senior professors from MUAS will teach the students i-Factory, Intelligent Manufacturing and Robot, Unmanned Vehicles, Smart Buildings & Cities and other professional courses related to “Industry 4.0”. Students will have the opportunity to meet with students of MUAS face to face, to visit other universities of applied sciences and some cultural attractions in Bavaria, and to conduct field research on world-renowned manufacturing companies.

In order to further develop partnership between two universities, SZTU signed a cooperation framework agreement with MUAS on students/faculty exchanges, joint curriculum development and establishment of research projects to further cooperation in April 2017. The “Industry 4.0” Summer Program makes a solid step towards a closer cooperation in the future.
