His Excellency Batyanovsky Leonid, Consul-General of the Republic of Belarus in Guangzhou, and Mr. Alexander Shalimov, Consul of the consulate-general visited Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) on July 4th, 2018.

Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, President of SZTU and Ms. Sun Xiangyu, Vice President of SZTU warmly received the guests. Firstly, Prof. Ruan introduced SZTU’s goal, value and characteristics. Ms. Sun stated several potential areas for cooperation between SZTU and universities in Belarus afterwards. Mr. Leonid first expressed gratitude to the reception, then introduced the profiles of the Republic of Belarus and its higher education sector. He also highly praised SZTU’s development in such short period of time. Furthermore, he agreed to assist SZTU in establishing and developing partnerships in various fields with universities in Belarus, including Belarusian State University, Belarusian National Technical University and National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Prof. Holger Haldenwang, Distinguished Professor and Dean of the College of Business, Prof. Franz Raps, Distinguished Professor and Dean of the College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, Prof. Wang Hongzhi, Associate Dean of the Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing, Ms. Zeng Siyu, Head of the International Cooperation and Student Affairs Office and other representatives of SZTU also attended the meeting.

The delegation also visited Laboratory of Advanced Materials, Laboratory of Internet of Things-Laboratory of Electronic Technology and Sino-German Laboratory of Beer Brewing Process Control. They were also invited to taste freshly made genuine German beer. Mr. Leonid left his comments on the guestbook, expressing his best wishes to SZTU.
