Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) and Tencent signed a strategic cooperation agreement to join hands in college and laboratories establishment, scientific research collaboration, information construction, and summer camp programs development on May 16. Prof. Zhang Yanhong, Vice President of SZTU, Mr. Qiu Yuepeng, Vice President of Tencent, and Mr. Zhang Shuxiang, Vice President of Tencent Cloud attended the signing ceremony.

The agreement aims at leveraging the advantages of Tencent especially in the area of artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing and information recourses, which will be put into full play in SZTU’s operation philosophy and talents cultivation. SZTU and Tencent look forward to creating a new benchmark for industry-university-research integration and informationization construction.

Specifically, both sides agree to jointly set up a college that is characterized by professional curriculum system and distinctive talents cultivation approach. Joint research teams and laboratories will be founded by SZTU and Tencent so as to carry out research on emerging leading technologies, such as Internet +, Artificial Intelligence + and so on.

So far, SZTU has signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with over 160 renowned enterprises and looks forward to collaborating with more industry leaders to cultivate high quality talents with technical skills.
