SZTU delegation attends the Sino-German Innovation Forum

As one of the supporting units, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) was invited to attend the Sino-German Innovation Forum on May 19, which was held by Bao’an Sino-German (Europe) Industrial Development Cooperation Alliance, Bauhaus University Weimar and IMS BAUHAUS. SZTU delegation led by Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, was warmly welcomed by the sponsors and organizers.

Prof. Bernd Rudolf, Dean of Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of Bauhaus University Weimar addressed the Forum and emphasized the significance of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He then further introduced the theme of the Forum, which is The 100th Anniversary of Bauhaus University Weimar meets the first year of Greater Bay Area.

As one of the keynote speakers of the Forum, Prof. Ruan delivered a wonderful speech in English and made a detailed introduction about the current development of SZTU, including its campus planning, disciplinary setup, talents cultivation mode, teaching resources, international cooperation, university-enterprise cooperation, and infrastructure.

During the lunch break, as the representative of SZTU, Prof. Franz Raps, Dean of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, had a meeting with Prof. Bernd Nentwig, Executive Committee Member of Bauhaus University Weimar, discussing possible collaboration on teaching resources and talent cultivation.

Tips:

The Bauhaus, one of the most influential design schools in the 20th century, was founded in 1919 and was renamed as the Bauhaus University Weimar in 1996. Distinguished experts from various disciplines and countries have worked together with their students to revolutionize education. The Bauhaus focuses on four faculties, which are Architecture and Urbanism, Civil Engineering, Art and Design, and Media.


IMS Bauhaus ® Archineer ® Institutes e.V. is an international platform and teaching institute, offering the worldwide unique Master of Engineering in Membrane Structures. The IMS - Institute for Membrane and Shell Technologies was founded in 1999 in Bobingen, Germany.
