Silicon Valley in the United States is one of the most important technological centers for innovation in the world, gathering a large number of high-tech enterprises, first-class universities, scientific research institutions and innovative talents. International Technological University (ITU) provides excellence in education for the future leaders of Silicon Valley corporations and signed a MoU with Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) in 2017, being SZTU’s international partner university.

In order to promote the cultural exchanges between China and the United States and cultivate highly qualified talents with international vision and competitiveness, 27 SZTU students and 2 teachers from International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office arrived in San Jose on August 12, starting the program of Shenzhen Technology University - International Technological University (ITU) Summer School 2019.

During the 14-day program, SZTU students attended some lectures, such as Culture Shock and Adaptation, Silicon Valley History and Technology, Foundation of Software Engineering, Business Model, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Blockchain and so on.

SZTU students were divided into two groups and instructed by Dr. Megan Shy and Dr. Mamoun Samaha in two practical projects titled “Video Production” and “Cyber Security” respectively.

Besides various lectures and workshops, SZTU delegation paid a visit to some famous hi-tech enterprises and world-renowned universities in Silicon Valley, such as Apple, Google, NASA, Stanford University, UC Berkley and so on. SZTU students were also highly impressed by the cultural attractions and breath-taking natural scenery in California, such as Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, Fisherman's Wharf and Monterey Bay.

27 SZTU students were divided into 5 groups and they took the final group presentations very seriously, as a result of which, they all passed the presentations and obtained the certificates from ITU.
