Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) is a public institution of higher education established by Guangdong Province and Shenzhen Municipality with a sound beginning and high standards. Its establishment as a University of Applied Sciences was officially approved by the Ministry of Education on November 30, 2018 with identification code 4144014655.

According to the Student Enrollment Plan, SZTU is set to recruit 1,600 students this summer, who will come from 10 provinces in China, including Guangdong, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Henan, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Shandong, Ningxia, Gansu and Guizhou. According to the local media report, SZTU will offer more majors from 6 in 2019 to 18 this year.
