Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) signed strategic cooperation agreements with Kingdee Software (China) Co., Ltd. and Ka Shui Group on December 2 and 3 respectively.

On December 3, SZTU signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ka Shui Group and discussed with experts from Hong Kong Federation of Innovative Technologies and Manufacturing Industries (FITMI) and National Intelligent Foundry Industry Innovation Center (Light-Alloy) on the training of high-level application-oriented talents and the development of China’s new industries and high-end manufacturing industries.

Prof. Ruan Shuangchen said SZTU aims to build itself into an internationalized, high-level, and exemplary first-class university of applied sciences. It attaches great importance to in-depth cooperation with enterprises to improve students’ practical abilities. He hoped that the two parties can strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the future and jointly explore the mechanism where the university and the high-tech enterprise can enjoy win-win results in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Lee Yuen Fat hoped that the cooperation can train talented people for enterprises, promote the development of Hong Kong’s business and industries in Guangdong and other parts of China, help enterprises and industries strengthen data-based intelligent management, and vigorously carry out innovative R&D in the fields of new materials and intelligent casting.

Deputy Chairman of FITMI Lam Wai Sang said FITMI currently covers more than 30 industry associations. It is hoped that SZTU and different associations can enjoy more exchanges and discussions on how to strengthen the training of application-oriented talents. It is also expected that more job opportunities can be provided for students.

On December 2, SZTU and Kingdee Software (China) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Prof. Xu Gang, vice president of SZTU, and Fu Shiwei, vice president of Kingdee Jingyi Information Technology Service Co., Ltd. signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides, witnessed by other representatives present, including Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, and Chen Yue, president of Kingdee Jingyi Information Technology Service Co., Ltd. The two parties will conduct all-round cooperation in the construction of internship training bases, scientific research, specialty and curriculum setup and talent training. A new cooperation model of co-building an industrial college will also be further discussed.

Prof. Ruan Shuangchen briefly introduced SZTU’s establishment, positioning and characteristics at the meeting. He said that SZTU takes the advantages of local industries, adheres to the integration of industry and education, and conducts in-depth university-enterprise cooperation. It is hoped that the two parties can cooperate in personnel training, joint construction of experimental classes and laboratories, etc., so as to provide more internship and practical training for students. Prof. Ruan hoped that the two sides can train application-oriented talents that meet the needs of industrial development and solve practical problems for enterprises.

Chen Yue said that he fully recognizes SZTU’s philosophy of integrating industry and education. He hoped that Kingdee can introduce its projects to SZTU and combine them with teaching and practical training, closely cooperate with Business School, College of Big Data and Internet and other colleges of SZTU, and jointly build an interdisciplinary industrial college in the future.
