On March 17, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) officially signed comprehensive strategic cooperation framework agreements with Maluan Subdistrict Office and Kengzi Subdistrict Office of Pingshan District respectively.

At the signing ceremony, Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, stated that under the strong support of the CPC Committee and People’s Government of Pingshan District, SZTU has seen rapid development and continuous increase in the quality of faculty, student enrollment and number of majors. Through signing the agreements, he expected that SZTU will join hands with surrounding subdistricts to enhance local ties and cooperation for building a beautiful Pingshan and cultivating high-level applied talents.

It is known that in the future, SZTU and Maluan Subdistrict Office will carry out cooperation in three aspects: decision-making consultation, education and training, and cultural construction.

Shang Pengtao, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Maluan Subdistrict, said a university can play an important role in leading the development of a city, and that the comprehensive strategic partnership has great significance and far-reaching influence on integrated development and collaborative innovation between the city and the university. It is hoped that the two parties will have regular meetings and make concerted efforts in promoting quality development of the whole district.

Meanwhile, SZTU and Kengzi Subdistrict Office will cooperate in the following aspects: construction support for the High School Attached to SZTU, decision-making consultation, education and training, establishment of talent practice base and science popularization base, and Party construction.

Sun Yanqiong, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Kengzi Street, said that SZTU has established solid foundation for sustainable development because of its distinctive features in location, unique campus planning, and its advanced specialty setting and innovative philosophy which are geared to the need for industrial development. It is hoped that SZTU and Kengzi Subdistrict Office will carry out in-depth cooperation in industrial planning and urban environment improvement for common development.
