July 1, 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) has been holding various activities to celebrate the centenary of the CPC over the past few weeks.

A grand gathering celebrating the centenary of the CPC was held at Tian’anmen Square at the heart of Beijing on July 1. Students, teachers and staff members watched the live broadcast of the event at several viewing sites around campus.

88 SZTU Party members (students, staff and faculty members) and 13 primary Party organizations were honored for their excellence and hard work at a ceremony on June 28. They set a shining example for all Party members and everyone else at SZTU.

On the evening of June 28, an elaborate gala was held at SZTU to celebrate the centenary of the CPC. Dancing, singing, chorus, martial arts and other performances highlighted the path to glory led by the CPC.

Other activities also took place at SZTU as part of the centenary ceremony. 100 posters of classic movies unfolding the Party’s history since its founding in 1921 have been exhibited on campus. The posters vividly showcase the Party’s endeavor to unite and lead the Chinese people over the past century and greatly inspire the viewers. Paintings, calligraphy, essays and posters are also ways for students to show their understanding and love for the CPC. A group of students even use their professional knowledge to make a naked-eye 3D short video about the 100 year-history of the Party.

42 secretaries of the primary Party organizations took part in the recitation competition last week. Each of them chose a piece of classic essay or poem to praise the Party and the country, embodying the spirit and energy of the Party members in a new era.

The CPC’s glorious history has laid the foundation for a promising future in the new era. SZTU will continue to make its contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Happy centenary, CPC!
