At the ceremony, Prof. Ruan reviewed the origin and founding process of The Artisan’s Loft, and expressed his expectation to the shop. He said that the idea of establishing The Artisan’s Loft was inspired by the souvenir shop of Regensburg University of Applied Sciences (OTH Regensburg) and also gained the support from OTH Regensburg. It aims to provide SZTU students with an innovation and entrepreneurship platform as well as a work-study program base. He hoped that The Artisan’s Loft will benchmark against the souvenir shop of OTH Regensburg and make greater efforts to develop into a cultural brand with unique ingenuity.

By relocation, The Artisan’s Loft is able to display souvenirs of SZTU at a larger platform, which will provide the teachers, students and nearby residents with more convenient and high-quality shopping experience, popularizing the brand culture of SZTU in a new way. Meanwhile, the work-study students can give full play to their business ideas and creativity at a larger stage, so as to develop their innovation and entrepreneurship skills and gain real-world experience.
