On April 22, a lecture on the international credit courses jointly offered by Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) and Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) was successfully held online. The lecture was given by the project organizer and attended by the project representatives from FIT, project officers from International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office of SZTU and some students from SZTU.

In order to introduce high-quality international teaching resources and expand the international exchange and cooperation platform with its global partners, SZTU signed a memorandum of understanding with FIT in November 2021, which aims to strengthen the cooperation in teacher and students exchanges, higher education, distance education, international credit courses, aviation training, teaching curriculum and framework, and textbook compilation between the two universities. Among them, to offer international credit courses is one of the important projects in the initial phase of the collaboration.

In this online lecture, Dana Guan, project leader representing FIT, introduced the general situation of FIT, advantages of the international credit courses, basic information on each optional course and instructor, application process, and credit exchange and recognition. This project will provide SZTU students with a number of international courses offered by FIT. Besides the academic credits awarded by FIT, students who pass the courses have a good chance to obtain internships in famous enterprises, recommendation letters from international professors, tuition subsidies, etc.

This online lecture on the international credit courses not only plays an important role in promoting the project, but also create opportunities for the both sides to carry out more cooperative education and training projects in the future. The international credit courses are now open for application, and the classes will start in an orderly manner according to the epidemic prevention and control policy.
