On July 10, a delegation of 28 staff and student representatives from City University of Macau (CityU Macau) led by Ms. Che Ka I, director of the Rector’s Office, visited Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) and learned about its major campus facilities. Ms. Xie Fuman, deputy director of the President’s Office of SZTU, and staff from the International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office) of SZTU warmly received the delegation.

To begin with, the two sides had a brief meeting. Ms. Xie Fuman welcomed the delegation and introduced the campus construction, scale and faculty team of SZTU with the latest brand video “Becoming”. She said that SZTU attaches importance to the cooperation with other universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and hoped that based on existing collaborations, both SZTU and CityU Macau will actively serve the national strategic plan and explore more opportunities for exchanges and cooperation.

Ms. Che Ka I was impressed by the rapid development of SZTU and mentioned the summer exchange program offered by CityU Macau, looking forward to enhancing the connection and cooperation between the universities in Macao and the mainland. As CityU Macau and SZTU have some advantages in common, Ms. Che Ka I hoped that both sides will take this visit as an opportunity to share quality resources and work together to promote mutual exchanges and cooperation.

The meeting was followed by a campus tour at SZTU. Guided by the staff from SZTU International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office) and some students, the delegation paid a visit to the Administration and Public Service Center, Public Teaching and Internet Center, Canteen and Library of SZTU. The representatives from CityU Macau spoke highly of the beautiful and well-equipped campus that offers modern, user-friendly and intelligent facilities for study and work.

The visit by CityU Macau delegation has promoted mutual communication between SZTU and universities in Macao, and laid a foundation for further cooperation between SZTU and CityU Macau in advancing the common development of higher education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
