On May 22, a delegation led by Prof. Jouni Ahonen, vice president of Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Haaga-Helia) in Finland, visited Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU). Prof. Deng Yuanlong, vice president of SZTU, along with relevant department and college heads, attended the meeting. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on academic cooperation and talent cultivation within the framework of their memorandum of understanding (MOU), and explored new pathways for collaborative development.

Prof. Deng Yuanlong extended a warm welcome to the delegation and emphasized that SZTU consistently upholds an open education philosophy, committed to creating diverse and enriching international exchange opportunities for students. He expressed hope that the cooperation with Haaga-Helia would further enrich SZTU’s international educational resources, fostering continuous efforts in faculty and student exchanges, joint curriculum development, and ultimately nurturing high-quality, application-oriented talents with global competitiveness.
Prof. Jouni Ahonen expressed his heartfelt gratitude to SZTU for the warm reception and provided a detailed introduction to the educational approach of Haaga-Helia. He noted that Haaga-Helia is application-oriented, places great importance on teaching applied technologies, and focuses on equipping students with the ability to translate theory into practice.
