On May 23, a delegation led by Jouni Markus Koski, president of Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Laurea) in Finland, visited Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU). During the visit, the two universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), formally establishing an inter-university cooperative relationship. Zhang extended a warm welcome to the delegation on their first visit to SZTU. She introduced the university's establishment process, college settings, and distinctive majors. She noted that SZTU draws on advanced educational models and successful experiences from countries like Germany and Switzerland. Actively promoting open education, the university annually invites students and teachers from overseas institutions to participate in its International Week and sends multiple groups of students to study at foreign universities. Zhang expressed her hope that this meeting would lay a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two universities.

Koski highly praised the campus environment, establishment speed, and educational achievements of SZTU. The Laurea community with six different campuses is comprised of approximately 11,000 students, 670 staff members and 39,000 alumni. Over the past few years, it has successively been rated as the "Most Popular University of Applied Sciences among Students" with a graduate employment rate of 96%. Koski emphasized that Laurea encourages students to be practice-oriented, to meet industry needs, and to solve real-world problems through practical learning. He expressed his expectation that the two universities will strengthen exchanges in the co-construction of curriculum systems and mutual visits of teachers and students in the future.
