On June 23, Professor Oliver Steffens, vice president of OTH Regensburg, visited Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) with his delegation. They were warmly welcomed by Vice President Ming Zhong, along with Dean Holger Haldenwang of SZTU Business School and Zeng Siyu, director of International Cooperation and Exchanges Department. The two sides held a constructive meeting to exchange views and explore future cooperation.

During the meeting, Ming reviewed the achievements since the establishment of the partnership with OTH Regensburg in December 2016, including the joint laboratory, the “2+2” dual-degree program, and faculty and student exchange initiatives. He spoke highly of the stable and effective cooperation mechanisms and expressed hopes to further expand collaboration in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence.
Steffens expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception. He visited related schools or colleges to learn about SZTU’s achievements in academic development, talent cultivation, and university-industry cooperation. He praised the university’s innovative approach and international outlook and expressed strong interest in deepening collaboration in research and technology.

Both sides also held in-depth discussions on research commercialization, faculty visits, and joint postgraduate training, and shared a strong desire to broaden cooperation in more areas. The visit further solidified the partnership between the two universities and laid a solid foundation for more comprehensive and high-level international collaboration in the future.
