Recently, Prof. Chen Qiuming, secretary of the Party Committee of Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU), and Prof. Stefan Leible, president of the University of Bayreuth in Germany, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of their respective institutions, formally establishing an inter-university partnership. Under the newly signed student exchange protocol, the two institutions will launch a semester exchange program, allowing selected students to study abroad while enjoying mutual tuition fee waivers. The University of Bayreuth is the first German public research university with which SZTU has signed a semester exchange agreement.

This partnership marks a significant step in SZTU's internationalization efforts, expected to foster academic and cultural exchanges, providing students from both universities with opportunities to experience diverse educational environments and enhance their global competencies.

The University of Bayreuth (Universität Bayreuth) is a public research university located in northern Bavaria, Germany, ranked 448th in the QS World University Rankings 2026. Founded in 1975, the university is known for its interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and practice-oriented teaching, offering degree programs at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels.
