On December 8, the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education (CSTVE) and Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) co-hosted the "Science and Technology Achievements Transfer Working Committee Election Conference & 'Deep Integration of Scientific and Industrial Innovation' Seminar" in Shenzhen. The event, themed "Focusing on the '15th Five-Year Plan' Period: Promoting High-Level Self-Reliance in Science & Technology and Integrated Transfer," brought together nearly 300 representatives from research institutions, universities, vocational colleges, financial institutions, and enterprises.
The conference featured a keynote report and discussions on deepening the integration of technological innovation with industrial development. A significant outcome was the official launch of SZTU's four new interdisciplinary technology research institutes, designed to break down traditional academic barriers and create a complete innovation chain from basic research to technology development and commercialization. The newly established institutes are:
Artificial Intelligence Technology Research Institute: Focusing on AI theory, multimodal AI systems, embodied AI planning, and AI-driven interdisciplinary innovation.
Intelligent Transportation Technology Research Institute: Addressing challenges in integrated land-air-rail transportation systems using low-altitude traffic and AI technologies.
Intelligent Biotechnology Research Institute: Conducting interdisciplinary research in early health screening, dynamic diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation management.
Low-Altitude Intelligent Technology Research Institute: Researching key areas like low-altitude integrated sensing, communication, intelligent computing, dynamic control, and equipment to support the low-altitude economy.
