SZTU Public Teaching Building Officially Roofed

The roof-sealing ceremony of Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) Public Teaching Building located in the first phase construction area, was held on January 24, and witnessed by guests invited, including Director of Shenzhen Municipal Construction Affairs Bureau Mr. Qiao Hengli, President of SZTU Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, and General Manager of China Construction First Division Group Mr. Wang Lianfeng.

 

China Construction First Division Group Construction & Development Co., Ltd. contracted to build the SZTU Public Teaching Building, with a total floor area of 51,830 square meters, and over 200 classrooms and offices of various types, which can accommodate 19,000 students. SZTU teachers and students, parent representatives and the construction team attended the ceremony to witness this important event.

On behalf of Shenzhen Municipal Construction Affairs Bureau, Mr. Qiao Hengli offered his congratulations on the roof-sealing of SZTU Public Teaching Building. Moreover, he conveyed a message to SZTU to maintain its awareness of quality, safety and service for the purpose of building SZTU into a first-class university of applied sciences.

 

Prof. Ruan highlighted the importance of sealing the roof of SZTU Public Teaching Building, which lays a strong foundation for the first phase Campus Construction Project and guarantees student recruitment this September.

The first phase Campus Construction Project of SZTU covers a total floor area of about 970,000 square meters, and investment of 8.08 billion RMB, including North District Dormitory, North District Canteen, School Infirmary and Apartments for International Students and Foreign Teachers. The former three projects will be put into use in July 2019 while the latter in December 2019. The first phase project will be completed by the end of 2020.
