Entrepreneur in Residence from the University of Portsmouth Visits SZTU

On June 27th, Mr. Albert Choi, University of Portsmouth’s Entrepreneur in Residence and student admissions representative for China, and Mr. Jason Liu, an alumnus of the University of Portsmouth and Assistant to the President of the International Smart City Research Institute, visited Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU). Ms. Sun Xiangyu, Deputy Director of SZTU, Mr. Holger Haldenwang, Distinguished Professor of SZTU, and Ms. Zeng Siyu, Head of the International Cooperation and Students Affairs Office, welcomed the visitors and held amiable and friendly talks with them. During the meeting, both sides discussed the possibility and method of future cooperation in areas like student exchange, graduate student cultivation, and teaching staff recruitment. Mr. Albert Choi heartily invited SZTU to pay a visit to the University of Portsmouth in the future. Afterwards, the visitors were treated to a tour around SZTU and visited in a chronological order the library, the Sino-German Laboratory of Beer Brewing Process Control, and the student dormitory.

At the meeting, after introduction on SZTU and the University of Portsmouth respectively and reviewing both sides past interaction, Mr. Choi gave out an introduction on student exchange and graduate student cultivation at the University of Portsmouth, which was followed by some information shared on the city of Portsmouth. Mr. Choi expressed his willingness to help SZTU in international teaching staff recruitment.
