Professor Takaaki Kajita who shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2015 for his role in discovering atmospheric neutrino oscillations, visited Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) and gave a wonderful lecture titled Neutrino Oscillations and Small Neutrino Mass on April 30th, 2018.

Takaaki Kajita is a famous physicist who graduated from the University of Tokyo. Currently, he is Special University Professor at the University of Tokyo and Director of the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research (ICRR) of the University of Tokyo.

In the lecture, he introduced the basic physics background related to neutrino oscillations and tell about the research conducted by his team, through which they found the key evidence of neutrino oscillations. He also talked about his views on the development of relative research and shared his experience in scientific research with the audience, who put forward some profound questions at the end of the lecture.
