SZTU to intensify university-enterprise cooperation with Siemens

Prof. Heinz Neubert, vice president for Technology for Field Materials of Siemens, Prof. Chen Guofeng, R&D manager for the Siemens China Corporate Technology, Dr. Li Changpeng, senior expert researcher for the Siemens China Corporate Technology, came to SZTU for discussions on university-enterprise cooperation. Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, Prof. Holger Haldenwang, dean of Business School, Prof. Han Peigang, dean of College of New Materials and New Energies, Prof. Du Chenlin, director of Scientific Research and University-Enterprise Cooperation Office, Prof. Zhai Jianpang, head of Strategic Planning and Development Office, and Ms. Zeng Siyu, head of International Cooperation and Student Affairs Office, attended the meeting.

Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, extended a warm welcome to the Siemens delegation. He reviewed on the progress of SZTU’s international cooperation and campus construction, eyeing deeper university-enterprise cooperation with Siemens.

In his presentation, Prof. Neubert mentioned the leading roles of Siemens in the electrification, automation and digitalization. He said that digitalization would bring radical changes to the industrial manufacturing.

 

In recent years, Siemens has put forward the strategic plan of “Vision 2020+”, which has been expanding its operations in industries such as energy, smart cities and digital factories. In the future, Siemens is expected to focus on transportation, clean energy and medical care. In addition, digital manufacturing will bring higher productivity, efficiency and flexibility to the industries.
