On September 29, 2019, the two-day preliminary contest of 2019 Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Competition was held in Hefei, Anhui province. Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) sent 4 teams, including 20 students to compete with 60 teams from famous universities such as Xi'an Jiaotong University and Hefei University of Technology. After a fierce competition, SZTU students won 2 first prizes, 1 second prize and 1 third prize, and 3 teams made it to the final.

On October 26, the final competition of 2019 Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Competition reached a great success in Shanghai. With Prof. Wang Hongzhi and Dr. Zhang Mingji as tutors, 3 teams of SZTU stood out among over 200 teams and won the 1 first prize and 2 third prizes.
