Co-incubator of SZTU Startups Center and Launch Academy officially unveiled

Ray Walia, CEO of Launch Academy, visited Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) and was appointed guest professor of SZTU on November 4.

Launch Academy is an early-stage tech incubator that provides entrepreneurs with the resources, network and environment they need to launch and grow their startups. The Co-incubator of SZTU Startups Center and Launch Academy was officially unveiled, which means SZTU and Launch Academy will deepen all-round cooperation to jointly build a comprehensive incubation platform that aims to help SZTU students plan their career paths and give them advice on employment and entrepreneurship.

Prof. Xu Gang, vice president of SZTU, Prof. Xiang Shaohua, dean of College of Big Data and Internet, Prof. Hu Junqing, dean of College of Health Science and Environmental Engineering, Mr. Huang Zisong, head of Startups Center, and Prof. Xu Qianghua, university-enterprise cooperation officer from College of Big Data and Internet, attended the unveiling ceremony.

Launch Academy was founded on April 1, 2012, by Ray Walia, Roger Patterson, and Jesse Heaslip, three entrepreneurs who wanted to work with like-minded entrepreneurs and leverage each other’s experience and networks. Since 2012, Launch Academy has incubated over 700 companies that have collectively raised over $250 million and created more than 2,500 jobs.
