SZTU students win second prize at National Cryptography Competition

The 5th National Cryptography Competition was successfully held at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications from November 22 to 24. The team sent by Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) consisting of Cai Tianhui, Zhang Haitang and Xu Kaiyang, three junior students from College of Big Data and Internet, entered the final and won the second prize. Wang Caifen, professor from College of Big Data and Internet, and Zhang Yiwei, associate professor from the same college, were granted the Excellent Instructor Award for their guidance to the students.

It is the first time that SZTU participated in the cryptography contest, competing with 357 teams from 74 prestigious universities in China, such as Peking University, Tsinghua University and Fudan University. On November 24, distinguished guests like Cai Jiren, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Wang Xiaoyun, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, presented awards to all the award-winning teams.
