SZTU attends 6th China-Japan Conference on Education Exchange & Cooperation

The 6th China-Japan Conference on Education Exchange & Cooperation took place in Osaka, Japan from November 27 to 30, 2019. Over 400 school administrators, teachers and students from 152 universities and secondary schools in China and Japan attended this conference. Focusing on the theme of “Future-oriented China-Japan Education Exchange-New Era, New Cooperation, New Development”, participants had candid discussions on enhancing close cooperation between Chinese and Japanese schools, promoting friendship between two countries and other subjects.

Representatives attending this event included Li Tianran, consul general of the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Osaka, Zhao Lingshan, vice president and secretary general of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), Kazuhiko Hayashi, director for international analysis of Higher Education Bureau of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan, Shojiro Nishio, president of Osaka University, and Li Xinli, founder of Japan-China Culture Center (Xiangfei Global Education Group). Zhang Qiongqiong, deputy director of Department of International Cooperation of CEAIE, presided over the opening ceremony.

It is reported that 53 universities, 12 vocational colleges and 11 high schools in China were invited to attend this conference, including elite institutions such as Peking University, Tongji University and Harbin Institute of Technology. As representatives of SZTU, Zeng Siyu, head of International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office, and Jiang Lianbo, deputy dean of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, attended the event. As a participant, SZTU used this platform to develop exchange with colleges and universities from two countries.

The China-Japan Conference on Education Exchange & Cooperation was hosted by CEAIE and was organized by Japan-China Culture Center. The conference plays a positive role in deepening the cultural exchanges between China and Japan and enhancing friendship between the two peoples.
