The job fair provided 1,500 internships and full-time positions mainly for seniors and juniors, offered by 36 companies including Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) Shenzhen, Sangfor Technologies, BYD Semiconductor and Century Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. It also attracted many freshmen and sophomores who are interested in the industries and helped them better prepare to join the workforce later.
SZTU students from all class years impressed the employers with their enthusiasm and initiative. Most students have rich project experience and strong professional skills which are what employers look for. English language proficiency, interpersonal skills, teamwork, communication and resilience to stress are also important factors during job-hunting, according to many HR professionals.
