SZTU, FHWS jointly hold online lecture on frontiers

On May 24, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) and University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) successfully held a joint lecture on frontiers in biomedical technology online. Co-organized by the International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office and Julong College of SZTU, the lecture was joined by nearly 80 teachers and students through online channels, and 120 students from SZTU gathered offline to attend the lecture.

The lecture was given by four professors from FHWS, Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore respectively. Their presentations covered different topics, including biomedical applications, medical sensors, and the development of medical prototype system. Prof. Chi Chiu Chan, deputy dean of Julong College and director of Center for Smart Sensing System, said that biomedicine is of great social significance in the post-pandemic era and hoped that the teachers and students present could gain more knowledge in relevant subjects from this lecture. The lecture aims to expand students’ mind for professional study, increase their knowledge, as well as develop their cross-cultural communication skills.

With the vision of building an international, high-level and exemplary university, SZTU fully learns and introduces the advanced experience of leading universities of applied sciences in developed countries such as Germany and Switzerland. Ms. Zeng Siyu, director of International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office, said that SZTU is exploring new ways for international cooperation in the post-pandemic era, and the Office will continue to support the active exploration, promote international exchanges of SZTU, as well as provide more online communication opportunities for teachers and students at SZTU.
