On September 28, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) held the unveiling ceremony of He Xiantu Academician Workstation and the seminar on discipline construction. The He Xiantu Academician Workstation will gather worldwide scientific and technological innovation resources and establish a high-level research and development platform based on the research and application of advanced materials testing technology.

SZTU brought 10 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with Wang Lixin, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen, Tao Yongxin, Secretary of Pingshan District Committee of the CPC, Xu Jianling, Deputy Director of Education Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and 16 renowned experts and scholars to the ceremony.

Professor Ruan Shuangchen, Director of SZTU hosted the unveiling ceremony and introduced the basic information about SZTU and the significance of the establishment of He Xiantu Academician Workstation to all the present guests. Professor Ruan stated that the He Xiantu Academician Workstation would become a new opportunity to promote science and research innovation and talents development at SZTU. With the help of the He Xiantu Academician Workstation, SZTU would accumulate valuable experience and new growth points for innovation.

Academician He Xiantu expressed his gratitude to SZTU for hiring him as a Distinguished Professor. During his speech, he shed some lights on the understanding of technology and science and thought highly of this workstation, hoping it would contribute to the development of science.
