2018 SZTU High Table Dinner Successfully Held

   On the evening of June 28th, 2018, the first High Table Dinner of Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) has been successfully held at the Ginmau Hall of the Ginmau Garden Hotel. In formal student robes, 214 students of SZTU attended the great event. Professor Li Xuejin, Associate Vice President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Shenzhen, accepted SZTU’s invitation and took part in this grand occasion together with Professor Ruan Shuangchen, Director of SZTU, Professor Xu Gang, Ms. Sun Xiangyu and Professor Zhang Yanhong, Deputy Directors of SZTU. Professor Holger Haldenwang, Distinguished Professor of SZTU, Professor Franz Raps, Dean of the College of Urban Transportation and Logistics and a number of other professors and heads of offices also joined the banquet.

   At the beginning, as the Chairperson of the 2018 High Table Dinner of SZTU, Professor Ruan Shuangchen addressed the banquet. In his remark, he raised new expectation for SZTU’s future development and, more importantly, expressed his appreciation for the hard work all the SZTU faculty had given out ever since the start of the preparatory work of SZTU’s establishment.

   As the Guest Speaker of the night, Professor Li Xuejin, Associate Vice President of CUHK, Shenzhen, showed his appreciation of SZTU and provided the students with his suggestions and expectation. Following his speech were the remarks given by Professor Holger Haldenwang and Professor Franz Raps.

   Ms. Qin Yiyue from the Publicity Office of SZTU has sung two brilliant songs for the night and Ms. Xiang Chuxian from the International Cooperation and Student Affairs Office and Mr. Zhang Shupeng from the College of Urban Transportation and Logistics provided beautiful piano accompaniment.

 

   While savoring the cuisines consisting of the Norway seafood chowder, Austrian steak with black pepper sauce, baked tiger prawn with garlic and pasta, and Italian cheese, etc., the students and faculty attending the dinner enjoyed their wonderful moments with a lot of pictures and selfies.

   With all the rituals and formalities, the first High Table Dinner of SZTU has been very well received by the students and faculties, and has not only enhanced the communication and exchanges between students and faculty, but also deepened mutual understanding amongst student themselves.
