H-BRS delegation pays second visit to SZTU

On November 18, 2019, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) visited SZTU for the second time. The delegation from H-BRS, which consisted of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Bode, vice president (International Affairs and Diversity), Dr. Udo Scheuer, vice president (Regional Development, Transfer and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Iris Groß, vice president (Studies, Teaching and Further Education) and Prof. Dr. Dirk Reith, director of the Institute for Technology, Resource Conservation and Energy Efficiency, met with Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, Prof. Franz Raps, dean of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, Prof. Han Peigang, dean of College of New Materials and New Energies, Prof. Hu Junqing, dean of College of Health Science and Environmental Engineering, and Ms. Zeng Siyu, head of International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office.

Prof. Ruan greeted the H-BRS delegation with a warm welcome and highlighted the important achievements made by SZTU. With regard to international cooperation, Prof. Ruan expressed his strong willingness to push forward the international cooperation with H-BRS and other top universities of applied sciences in Germany.

This is the second time that Prof. Bode has visited SZTU. He was greatly impressed by the rapid growth of SZTU. Prof. Bode hoped that H-BRS could expand cooperation in applied research, joint teaching and technology transfer with SZTU. More importantly, H-BRS looked forward to having more cooperation on student exchange programs or 2+2 programs with SZTU Business School and College of Health Science and Environmental Engineering.

Accompanied by Prof. Franz Raps and Prof. Han Peigang, H-BRS delegation paid a visit to SZTU labs, such as Laboratory for Crystal Growth and Characterization, Automotive Engineering Experimental & Practical Teaching Center and labs of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics.

The Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) was founded in 1995. It is a dynamic and research-driven university with around 9,000 students, approximately 150 professors and 300 research associates.
