Organized by Design magazine, the 6th Chinese Universities Design Competition selected 15 pieces of design works by SZTU students and made them part of the Featured Yearbook Design Works of Chinese Universities (2019). It was a great encouragement for SZTU students to win 3 second prizes, 7 third prizes and 12 outstanding prizes out of 7,156 pieces of design works. In addition, Prof. Yan Ping won the Excellent Instructor Award and SZTU obtained the Excellent Organization Award.

The second prize winners are Cai Guoxi, Yihang and Wen Zhiling. The third prize winners are Peng Zhixin, Xu Shimin, Mo Haiqi, Chen Youquan, Hong Liyi, Li Anze, Liu Xingting and Lin Sihan. The outstanding prize winners are Huang Tianxiang, Ma Xiaodan, Guo Siyi, Lin Xiaodan, Chen Zihua, Cao Jiatong, Lin Zeyu, Song Donghong, Zhu Junwei, Wu Haichao, Xiao Tongyin, Xie Yixuan, Zhao Mingwei and Zhang Yingqi.
