Seminar on Mid-Infrared Laser Technology successfully held at SZTU

The Seminar on Mid-Infrared Laser Technology was successfully held at Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) on December 5, which brought together 15 distinguished guests from renowned universities and institutions at home and abroad, such as University of Southampton, National University of Defense Technology, Osaka University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Beijing University of Technology and Jinan University. In addition, the Seminar invited over 120 scholars to exchange views on research work related to mid-infrared laser.

Prof. Shigeki Tokita from Osaka University, gave a report on High-power 2.8μm Erbium Fiber Lasers and Their Applications. In his report, Prof. Shigeki Tokita elaborates on the introduction of high-power 2.8μm erbium fiber lasers and their applications.

Natalie V. Wheeler, research fellow in the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) at the University of Southampton, made a report on Advances in Silica-based Hollow Core Fibers.

Prof. Wang Pu, dean of Institute of Laser Engineering from Beijing University of Technology, mainly introduced the 2μm mid-infrared laser and its future development.

In addition, the Seminar had the privilege to invite another 11 important guests to share their ideas, including Prof. Ryo Yasuhara from National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS), Dr. Juliano G. Hayashi from Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) at the University of Southampton, Prof. Li Enbang from University of Wollongong, Prof. Wang Zefeng from National University of Defense Technology, Dr. Wang Yingying from Jinan University, Prof. Chen Zhichao from Shenzhen Technology University, Dr. Qin Zhipeng from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Prof. Li Jianfeng from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Dr. Pang Meng from Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Chen Zhenqiang from Jinan University and Prof. Zhang Zhaowei from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
