Online courses in full swing

To ensure a safe campus, students are currently not allowed to return to SZTU. According to the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) has comprehensively carried out online teaching in the new semester, which began on March 2, 2020.

SZTU online courses are in full swing. A total of 184 teachers have provided 320 online courses for undergraduates, including general elective courses and specialized courses. At the same time, the Graduate School has arranged all instructors to provide online instruction to graduate students.

Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, presided over a working meeting on March 2, asking all departments and colleges to fully implement the online teaching and provide technical support during the period of epidemic prevention and control. He emphasized that SZTU will provide financial support for students who have difficulty purchasing related equipment for online courses.

The Academic Affairs Department, Information Center and various colleges have made great efforts to facilitate the smooth operation of online teaching platform by quickly adjusting the curriculum plan and formulating the strategy of "online courses + WeChat group / QQ group".

On March 10, Zhang Jihong, secretary of the Party committee of SZTU, watched the live online lectures and checked the online teaching platform with Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, and Xu Gang, vice president of SZTU. They thought highly of the orderly progress of online courses and asked instructors to ensure the teaching quality.
