SZTU signs MoU with MCI Austria

On July 8, Prof. Dr. Andreas Altmann, rector of Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Prof. Dr. Ruan Shuangchen, president of Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU), which stands for the official establishment of cooperation relationship between SZTU and MCI. MCI is the first partner university of SZTU in Austria.

The signing ceremony was held through online platform which includes four parties: MCI, SZTU, Prof. Dr. Holger Haldenwang, dean of SZTU Business School, and Prof. Dr. Wei Manske-Wang. Zeng Siyu, head of International Cooperation & Student Affairs of SZTU, hosted the ceremony and Liu Liwen, head of Human Resources Office, also attended the meeting.

At the ceremony, Prof. Ruan introduced SZTU briefly and sincerely invited Prof. Altmann to visit Shenzhen in the near future. Prof. Altmann congratulated SZTU on its rapid development and said that the University of Innsbruck has a history of more than 300 years. The MCI is exactly a “speed boat” of the University of Innsbruck, which focuses on the social science, management and applied sciences. He extended gratitude to Prof. Haldenwang and Prof. Wang for the contact and placed great hope on the future cooperation.

 

Prof. Wang said that SZTU symbolizes Shenzhen Speed and China Ambitions and MCI Entrepreneurial Spirit in Europe. She believed that the two universities could learn from each other and the cooperation would be a success story.

 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Prof. Dr. Haldenwang stayed in Regensburg, Germany since January 2020 and could not return to Shenzhen until now. However, he never stopped contacting with the partner universities as well as colleagues in Shenzhen. He is willing to return to work in Shenzhen very soon.

 

International Cooperation and Student Affairs Office has also been keeping in touch with partner universities abroad through online platform and promoting the cooperation in new ways.
