Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) was honored with the Shenzhen Talent Scout Prize for the third consecutive year on Shenzhen’s 4th Talent Day on November 1. Secretary of Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee Wang Weizhong, Mayor Chen Rugui and other city leaders attended the award ceremony.

Ten institutions, including SZTU, were awarded the Shenzhen Talent Scout Prize by Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government to recognize their contributions to talent introduction and training. Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, attended the event and received the award on behalf of SZTU.
After the ceremony, Shenzhen Global Innovation Talent Forum was held where the guests had in-depth exchanges on how to build Shenzhen into a city clustered with talents from all over the world in an open, inclusive and pioneering way. SZTU’s Distinguished Prof. Zhou Cangtao, dean of College of Engineering Physics, and Distinguished Prof. Cao Leifeng from Center for Advanced Material Diagnostics attended the forum.

Shenzhen has designated Nov. 1 as its Talent Day starting from 2017 to raise people’s awareness of the value of talented people and their contributions.
