SZTU staff members and student volunteers tried to make the new students feel welcome starting from their registration day on September 11. Shuttle service was provided for freshmen and their families from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport and Shenzhen Pingshan Railway Station to the campus. All were set to make their first day safe and sound — prior health declaration, luggage sterilization, simplified registration procedures, etc.

The new students can not only be welcomed by the university leadership teams and student volunteers everywhere but also be embraced by a brand-new campus. Connected by the aerial walkways, all buildings are ready to be used at this Sky University in the new semester.

Wang Jingjing, a freshman from Shandong Province, who was the first one to complete the registration process, said she likes the nice environment and the college buildings with distinguishing features. She looks forward to enjoying life at SZTU and gaining knowledge with new friends.

Zeng Jiabao, another freshman from Guangdong Province, said he registered with the help of the elder schoolmates, which made him want to join the volunteers next year.

Some of the new students were accompanied by their parents or families on the registration day. Many of them are also excited at the prospect of the university. A parent said it is hoped that SZTU can have deeper cooperation with Huawei, BYD and other big companies and train talented people.

After the registration day, the new students will open a new chapter in their life. We wish all SZTUers can enjoy infinite possibilities together with the University in the future.
