On June 28, 2022, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) officially established the cooperation partnership with Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Germany. The two universities will work together to promote exchanges and cooperation. Representing the two sides, Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, and Prof. Joachim Weber, rector of DHBW Stuttgart, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Prof. Ruan Shuangchen introduced the general situation of SZTU, including colleges and majors, university-enterprise cooperation, and international exchanges and cooperation. He had high hopes for the future cooperation between SZTU and DHBW, and hoped that the two sides could build an open, inclusive, mutually beneficial and shared cooperation mechanism. In addition, Prof. Ruan sincerely welcomed Prof. Weber and president of DHBW to visit SZTU after the pandemic.

Prof. Joachim Weber confirmed the internationalization achievement of SZTU. At the same time, he introduced the basic situation of the DHBW. DHBW is the first higher education institution in Germany which combines on-the-job training and academic studies, and therefore achieves a close integration of theory and practice, both being components of cooperative education. With around 34,000 enrolled students, over 9,000 partner companies and more than 145,000 graduates, DHBW counts as one of the largest higher education institutions in the German Federal State of Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Prof. Holger Haldenwang, dean of Business School of SZTU and Prof. Erich Heumüller of DHBW are the liaison persons of both universities, who have contributed a lot to the cooperation. Besides, Prof. Franz Raps, dean of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics of SZTU, and Ms. Sabine Kull-Scheffler, head of Legal Affairs & Controlling of DHBW, also attended the signing ceremony. Ms. Zeng Siyu, head of International Cooperation & Student Affairs Office of SZTU, hosted the signing ceremony.
